By looking at this little appliance, it looks like any ordinary personal sized smoothie maker. Until you start looking closer and notice the size of the jug which produces an impressive 26 ounces of smoothie. If you’re like me and you can’t be satisfied by smaller sized personal blenders that only produce around 18 ounces this one steps it up. At end you still have a nice personal sized blender that weighs less than 4 pounds and measures just 5 by 14 inches, perfect for easy storage. This product retails for over $40 at your major retailers, but through Amazon.com you’re able to get one for around $25.
- Produces 26 ounces of smoothie maker comes with 3 speed settings, including pulse mode.
- Ice-chopping blades will efficiently blend through frozen ingredients.
- Offers a generous 1 year warranty.
- Under $30
- Very compact, and dishwasher safe.
Amazon.com rates the Magic Bullet with a respectable 3.8/5 stars. Apparently I am not the only one who thought 18 ounce personal smoothie makers were not enough. Throughout all consumer reviews, there is a pattern of people having the jug size as a major influence of purchase. Unlike most personal sized blenders, the SE3000 does not have problems blending large ice cubes and frozen fruit. The machine is relatively compact, especially when compared to a full sized blender like the Vitamix, but the jug size is larger than Magic Bullet, Cuisinart CPB-300, and Hamilton Beach 51101B. The blender is very simple to use, with 3 buttons and a pulse option. Many comment on how stylish it looks on the counter top. The machine is easy to use, screw the blades on top of the cup, flip and screw it into the base and you’re ready to go!
Since everything unscrews, there are no places where old fruit can hide. Most of the time a simple rinse under water is enough to thoroughly clean the blender out. For negatives, you may smell a motor smell when blending for over a minute, which seems to be a normal characteristic of all smaller personal blenders. Overall most have really good experience with the SE3000, and say that they enjoy it enough to purchase another if something happens to the first one.
